I graduated from the University of Texas Pan American in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science and received a Master of Education in 1997. In 1991, I began my teaching career in PSJA where I taught 3rd and 5th grade. In 1998, I moved to Weslaco ISD where I taught QUEST and in December 2000 I became an assistant principal. Currently, I serve as a curriculum instructional facilitator. My goal is to instill a passion for reading in all of our students. Books have the power to benefit children in a myriad of ways. Reading to children is one of the most important things we can do to prepare him/her with a foundation for academic excellence.
“Many people, myself among them, feel better at the mere sight of a book.”
